Day 1: Welcome to Negombo, SRILANKA

As you touch down at Colombo International Airport, you’ll receive a warm welcome from our representative. Your journey begins with a comfortable transfer to Negombo, which is about 40 kilometers away and takes approximately 1 hour. Upon arrival, you’ll check in at your hotel and have the chance to relax. In the afternoon, a delightful city tour of Negombo awaits, including a visit to the Fish Market, Negombo Town, the Catholic church, and the historic Old Dutch Canal. Negombo’s wide sandy beaches and tranquil sea are among its main attractions. The town is deeply rooted in traditional fishing practices, with the outrigger canoe, known as “oruwa,” being a prominent fishing craft. After your tour, you’ll return to the hotel for a pleasant dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Dambulla - The Ancient Marvel

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, your journey takes you to Dambulla, covering approximately 120 kilometers and lasting around 3 hours. Here, you’ll explore the fascinating Dambulla Rock Temple, constructed by King Walagambahu in the 1st century B.C. This temple complex is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and stands as one of Sri Lanka’s most impressive cave temple ensembles. Your evening will be spent in Dambulla, where you’ll rest at your hotel.

Day 3: Sigiriya, Minneriya, and Polonnaruwa

Begin your day with a satisfying breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a fascinating journey. Visit the iconic rock fortress of Sigiriya on an excursion covering 70 kilometers. Sigiriya stands as a testament to the civilization of ancient Ceylon during the reign of King Kassapa I and has been a pilgrimage destination since the 6th century AD. In the evening, you’ll enjoy an exciting Jeep Safari in Minneriya National Park, renowned for the incredible Gathering of wild elephant herds, with up to 300 elephants gathering during the dry season from August to September. Day 4: Journey to Kandy via Matale

Following breakfast at the hotel, you’ll set off towards Kandy, approximately 75 kilometers away and taking around 2 hours to reach. En route, you’ll have the opportunity to visit a spice garden, where you’ll explore the various spices for which Sri Lanka is famous and learn about their cultivation. Kandy, founded in the 14th century, is the southern anchor of Sri Lanka’s “Cultural Triangle.” Today, it remains a revered center for Buddhism and a sacred city. You will visit the Dalada Maligawa, housing the relic of Buddha’s tooth, which is an object of profound veneration. Dinner and an overnight stay await at the hotel in Kandy.

Day 5: Kandy to Colombo

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before embarking on the drive to Colombo, covering approximately 120 kilometers and taking around 3.5 hours. Colombo is experiencing rapid transformation, yet in certain areas, the city has retained its old-world charm with century-old landmarks such as the clock tower. Exploring Colombo, you’ll encounter the bustling Pettah bazaar, a Hindu and a Buddhist temple, residential areas with opulent homes, the Colombo Museum, the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, the new parliament in Sri Jayewardenepura, and the Folk Art Center. You’ll return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Departure from Colombo

After enjoying a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, it’s time to prepare for your departure. Hotel staff will assist you with the check-out process, ensuring a smooth transition. Our representative will then accompany you to the airport for your onward journey. Cancellation and Refunds Policies

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours after booking payment.
In the event of cancellation, Traveler should notify Lotus of India in writing at – least 60 days prior to travel.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made after paid booking before the experience’s start date / time will be subject to modification fees.
If the experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
This experience requires a minimum number of travelers ( 2 ). If it’s canceled because the minimum wasn’t met, you’ll be offered options and recalculated prices.
