Day 1: Welcome to Negombo, SRILANKA
Your adventure begins with a warm welcome as you arrive at Colombo International Airport. Our representative will be there to greet you. You’ll then embark on a pleasant journey to Negombo, covering a distance of 40 kilometers in approximately 1 hour. Upon your arrival in Negombo, you’ll check in at your hotel. Later in the day, a delightful city tour of Negombo awaits. This tour includes a visit to the Fish Market, Negombo Town, the Catholic Church, and the historic Old Dutch Canal. Negombo’s wide sandy beaches and tranquil sea are the town’s primary attractions. The most popular fishing vessels in the area are the outrigger canoes, known as “oruwa,” which are crafted from enormous logs and can be seen in abundance on the Negombo Lagoon. Your day concludes with a delicious dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Dambulla and the Majestic Minneriya Safari
After a hearty breakfast, your journey continues towards Dambulla, which is approximately 120 kilometers away and takes about 3 hours to reach. In the evening, prepare for an exciting Jeep Safari in Minneriya National Park, famous for its incredible Gathering of wild elephant herds. This spectacle is truly thrilling and is an experience you’ll remember for a lifetime. Dinner and a cozy overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 3: Dambulla, Sigiriya, and Polonnaruwa
Following breakfast, you’ll visit the astounding rock fortress of Sigiriya on an excursion that covers a distance of 70 kilometers. Sigiriya stands as a unique testament to the civilization of ancient Ceylon during the reign of King Kassapa I. The site of the “Lion Mountain” has been a point of pilgrimage since the 6th century AD and continues to captivate passionate admirers. On the same day, you’ll explore Polonnaruwa, which served as the second capital of Sri Lanka. Built during the 11th and 12th centuries A.D, this city is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As you explore, you’ll witness the ruins of the Royal Palace, the Gal Viharaya (home to three splendid statues of Buddha in upright, seated, and reclining postures, all carved from rock), the audience hall, the lotus bath, the Polonnaruwa statue from the 12th century, and the Parakrama Samudra tank (lake) constructed by the great King Parakramabahu. Dinner and an overnight stay follow at the hotel.

Day 4: Dambulla, Matale, and Enchanting Kandy
After breakfast, you’ll continue your journey towards Kandy, a city located approximately 75 kilometers away, with an estimated travel time of 2 hours. Along the way, you’ll visit the Dambulla Rock Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Sri Lanka’s most impressive cave temple complexes. The caves are adorned with over 2000 square meters of painted walls and ceilings, boasting the world’s largest area of painted murals. Among the 150 images of Buddha within the caves, the most colossal is a 14-metre rock-carved statue of Buddha. You’ll also visit a spice garden, where you’ll discover the various spices for which Sri Lanka is renowned. This tour will provide insights into how these spices are cultivated and processed, offering a deeper understanding of Sri Lankan culture. Dinner and a comfortable overnight stay await at the hotel.

Day 5: From Kandy to the Scenic Nuwara Eliya
Following breakfast, your journey takes you to Nuwara Eliya, a distance of about 80 kilometers, with an estimated travel time of 2.5 hours. En route, you’ll visit a tea factory in Nuwara Eliya. There, you’ll explore a tea plantation and a tea factory, where some of the world’s finest tea is produced. You’ll witness the tea manufacturing process and learn about how tea is graded. Of course, you’ll have the chance to taste a cup of pure Ceylon tea right at the factory. Upon arrival in Nuwara Eliya, you’ll check in at your hotel. Later in the day, you’ll explore the city and its surroundings, taking in the beauty of Nuwara Eliya. Often referred to as the heart of Sri Lanka’s tea country, Nuwara Eliya is renowned for producing 50% of the world’s best tea. The city is also home to Pidurutalagala, Sri Lanka’s highest mountain, which stands at 8282 feet. Nuwara Eliya features one of the finest 18-hole golf courses in Asia, and its breathtaking scenery makes it a popular destination for travelers. You’ll conclude the day with dinner and a restful overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6: Return to Colombo
After a satisfying breakfast at the hotel, your journey continues to Colombo, covering a distance of approximately 120 kilometers and taking around 3.5 hours. Colombo, like many capital cities in developing nations, is undergoing rapid transformation. Modern skyscrapers now stand where old buildings once graced the cityscape, yet Colombo retains some of its old-world charm. Among the city’s landmarks, you can still find the 100-year-old clock tower and numerous colonial-era buildings. During your visit, you’ll explore the bustling Pettah bazaar, known for its bargain shopping. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit a Hindu temple, a Buddhist temple, and residential areas where grand homes of the affluent can be found. The Colombo Museum, Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (a gift from the People’s Republic of China), the new parliament in Sri Jayawardenapura, and the Folk Art Center are among the city’s points of interest. Cancellation and Refunds Policies
For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours after booking payment.
In the event of cancellation, Traveler should notify Lotus of India in writing at – least 60 days prior to travel.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made after paid booking before the experience’s start date / time will be subject to modification fees.
If the experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Traveling solo traveler and prefer the privacy of your own room, a supplement will be applied to the price of your trip. The cost will depend on your trip and is available on request. If you’d rather not incur the additional expense, consider sharing option to avoid the extras. We’ll advice you if some other solo travelers requesting sharing. We will accommodate you with a fellow guest of the same gender, on a twin-bed basis. Please note that room shares are not valid on all trips.

We recommend bringing at least one credit card plus an ATM card. Try to avoid carrying euro notes larger than €100, as merchants may be hesitant to accept them due to counterfeiting. Limited currency exchange available at all major hotels have exchange facilities. Travelers Checks are not recommended. It’s always a good idea to let your credit card issuer and bank know of your plans to travel abroad so they can expect foreign transactions on your account.
All tour deposits are non-refundable. However, we do offer deposit protection within our company, which means your tour only base deposit can be used toward a future Lotus of India, Lotus of Asia, or Travelonica, a sister tour brands holiday within the next year ( 12 months ).
If your booking is confirmed you will have received an invoice shortly after booking both for tour deposits, and for tours where you’ve paid in full. Please always check your junk, spam, or promotions folder. If any additions and changes to your booking, including any payments made, we will send you an updated invoice.
