Day 1: Welcome to Bhutan’s Paro
As you arrive at Paro’s scenic airport, the adventure begins. After fulfilling immigration and customs requirements with ease, you’ll be warmly welcomed by our representative. From there, we’ll embark on a picturesque drive to Thimphu, the charming capital of Bhutan. Upon reaching Thimphu, you’ll settle into your comfortable hotel. In the early afternoon, we’ll visit the majestic Tashichho Dzong and explore The Memorial Chorten. As the evening sets in, you can take a leisurely stroll through Thimphu town. Enjoy a peaceful overnight stay in your Thimphu hotel.

Day 2: Exploring the Wonders of Thimphu
After a delightful breakfast, you have the opportunity to explore the following places based on your interests and time:
Visit the Post Office, where you can acquire various Bhutanese stamps, including personalized Bhutan stamps featuring your pictures.
Immerse yourself in the rural life of Bhutan with a visit to the Folk Heritage Museum, an outdoor museum that offers insight into the country’s rustic charm.
Explore the Changangkha Lhakhang, a 13th-century temple perched on a small hill overlooking the Thimphu valley.
Ascend Kuensel Phodrang, where you’ll encounter the largest Buddha statue in Bhutan, gazing over the Thimphu valley.

Day 3: Thimphu to Paro - A Journey Back in Time
Today, we’ll set out for Paro after breakfast, driving through Bhutan’s breathtaking landscape. In Paro, you’ll have the opportunity to visit Paro Dzong, a remarkable example of Bhutanese historical architecture, also known as the Rinpung Dzong. This majestic dzong is perched above the Paro River, displaying the exquisite architecture of Bhutan with its inward-sloping walls rising to an impressive height. You’ll also explore the National Museum, temporarily relocated due to earthquake damage. In the evening, you’re free to wander through Paro town and explore its unique charm. A peaceful overnight stay awaits you.

Day 4: Hiking to the Tiger’s Nest - A Spiritual Journey
One of the highlights of your trip awaits today as we embark on a hike to the iconic Taktsang Goempa, also known as the Tiger’s Nest Monastery. Your journey will take you to the parking lot, about a 30-minute drive from Paro town. From there, you’ll begin your hike to a viewpoint offering spectacular vistas of the monastery perched dramatically on the Cliffside (about 1.5 hours). After a refreshing stop, you’ll continue your ascent to the monastery for another 1.5 hours. This sacred site, initially built in 1692, is associated with Guru Padmasambhava, who flew to this location on the back of a tigress to subdue a demon. After your monastery visit, you’ll trek back downhill to the road, where you can enjoy lunch at the viewpoint cafeteria. Later, you’ll visit Kichu Temple, one of the 108 temples constructed in the 7th century by the Tibetan King Songsten Gampo. A restful overnight stay at your Paro hotel awaits.

Day 5: Farewell to Bhutan

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours after booking payment.
In the event of cancellation, Traveler should notify Lotus of India in writing at – least 60 days prior to travel.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made after paid booking before the experience’s start date / time will be subject to modification fees.
If the experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
This experience requires a minimum number of travelers ( 2 ). If it’s canceled because the minimum wasn’t met, you’ll be offered options and recalculated prices.

Traveling solo traveler and prefer the privacy of your own room, a supplement will be applied to the price of your trip. The cost will depend on your trip and is available on request. If you’d rather not incur the additional expense, consider sharing option to avoid the extras. We’ll advice you if some other solo travelers requesting sharing. We will accommodate you with a fellow guest of the same gender, on a twin-bed basis. Please note that room shares are not valid on all trips.

We recommend bringing at least one credit card plus an ATM card. Try to avoid carrying euro notes larger than €100, as merchants may be hesitant to accept them due to counterfeiting. Limited currency exchange available at all major hotels have exchange facilities. Travelers Checks are not recommended. It’s always a good idea to let your credit card issuer and bank know of your plans to travel abroad so they can expect foreign transactions on your account.
All tour deposits are non-refundable. However, we do offer deposit protection within our company, which means your tour only base deposit can be used toward a future Lotus of India, Lotus of Asia, or Travelonica, a sister tour brands holiday within the next year ( 12 months ).
If your booking is confirmed you will have received an invoice shortly after booking both for tour deposits, and for tours where you’ve paid in full. Please always check your junk, spam, or promotions folder. If any additions and changes to your booking, including any payments made, we will send you an updated invoice.
