Vivekananda Rock Memorial

Situated 500 meters off the mainland, this magnificent monument was built in 1970 on a sacred rock where the revered spiritual leader Swami Vivekananda meditated. Accessible by a short ferry ride, it offers a deeply tranquil meditation hall and unparalleled, sweeping views of the endless ocean.

Standing majestically on an adjacent rock, this colossal 133-foot-tall stone sculpture honors the legendary Tamil poet and philosopher, Thiruvalluvar. An awe-inspiring feat of architecture and artistry, the statue’s height symbolically represents the 133 chapters of his masterpiece, the Tirukkural.

Also known as the Kanyakumari Temple, this magnificent, 3,000-year-old shrine is perched on the absolute edge of the ocean. Dedicated to the virgin goddess Kanya Kumari, the temple is instantly recognizable by its vibrant architecture and the legendary, brilliant diamond nose ring of the deity.

The powerful and sacred exact meeting point where the turquoise waves of three massive water bodies seamlessly merge. Stepping into the shallow waters at these bathing ghats is considered a profound spiritual cleansing ritual by pilgrims and a profoundly unique geographical experience for travelers.
